Kisco Sales Appointed As Distributor Of NTech's WeedSeeker
Deal Expands NTech's Distribution Network in Three States
Ukiah, Calif. - Kisco Sales, Inc. and NTech Industries have reached an agreement for Kisco to distribute WeedSeeker® precision weed control technology through its retail locations and extensive dealer network in California, Arizona and Nevada.
Bakersfield-based Kisco is a well-respected manufacturer and distributor of spray and fertilizer equipment with showrooms in Bakersfield, Visalia, Yuba City, Santa Maria, Fresno and Imperial.
"Adding the WeedSeeker optical sensor to our Raven and Mid-Tech spray products will be a real benefit for our customers," explained Kisco General Manager Lonnie Merryman. "Our customers will save money because WeedSeeker recognizes and sprays only weeds and there is no waste from broadcast chemical spraying. I think this deal will really open the market for us."
"Kisco's reputation, experience, and expansive marketing network is a real plus for NTech," said Ted Mayfield, NTech chief operating officer.
How WeedSeeker Works
The patented WeedSeeker technology uses advanced optics and computer circuitry to sense if a weed is present. When a weed enters the 12"-wide field of view of the Sensor, it signals a spray nozzle to deliver a precise amount of herbicide. The WeedSeeker® will spray only weeds, not bare ground. The WeedSeeker® is effective wherever weeds occur intermittently.
WeedSeeker is used around the world in vineyards, orchards, fallow fields, and row crops; in addition to roadsides, freeways, irrigation districts, and on railroad right-of-ways. Other uses include airport runways, golf courses, paved parking lots with medians, dirt and gravel parking lots, parks, etc. The possibilities are limitless.
